eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

is he truly still her god ? after all , praying only did so much for her . if there is a god , she’d like to find him . ask him why he closed his eyes to her pain and suffering , constant screaming and begging for mercy when her body was given to hell . she wears her suspicion like a shield , arms wrapped around herself and pink lips pursed . she’s guarded . distrustful . always distrustful of men with voices that drip like honey , beg her closer . ( it makes her want to wrap her fingers around his throat . how dare you underestimate me . how dare you assume i don’t wear my sins like badges of honor . ) ❝ usually a guy’ll buy me dinner before professin his love to me . ❞ a vain attempt at humor to edge out the pain . the fury . the venom in her voice .
