eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

.       how kate can still advocate for vanessa after she’s just threatened her like this blows his mind. he doesn’t have that kind of capacity for forgiveness, for mercy. once he thought she was weak and soft for it, but he wonders if she might be stronger than anyone else he knows. ❝ she’ll cool down. ❞ but he can sense vanessa’s pissed off and hurt as she slams things down in the room, helping richie unload the car. her dark eyeshadow just adds to the heated glare. seth sighs again. ❝ i think i saw a burger place up the road. you hungry? ❞   

           it  is  something  she  has  _{learned ,  unlearned ,  and  then  learned  once  more .  long  hours  and  sleepless  nights  spent  poring  over  a  bible ,  ripped  pages  and  scrawled  red  ink  across  verses .  she  has  been  trying  to  find  herself  in  the  familiar  words ,  and  it’s  been  a  slow  but  steady  process .  ❝  i  sure  hope  so .  maybe  she’ll  wear  herself  out  n  just ….  fall  asleep .  like  a  little  kid ,  y’know ?  ❞  a  half - smirk ,  she  ducks  her  head  so  she  doesn’t  seem  too  smug .  gaze  lifts ,  turns  a  little  thoughtful  at  his  suggestion .  ❝  mm ,  i  could  eat .  are  we  gonna  walk  or  do  y’  wanna  drive ?  ❞}
