eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

bumble-bee eyes STING ; rolling far to the side as kate continues to tease and play—a back && forth of drawing him in , pushing him away . grin curls at so-kissable lips ; this girl is A MENACE . she tilts her head to look up at him ; she’s tiny but has a way of making the vampire feel like he’s two feet tall . words are innocent , but sharp . nosy , she says ; as if she doesn’t follow him around like a little puppy dog , questioning his motives && assignments && general aspects of his undead life ( which , what an oxymoron ) .
he’s learned , though ; she loves to be bratty && brush off his attentions—but as soon as he ignores her , she’s BEGGING && PLEADING to be noticed .
❝ y’ know what … never mind , doll ; you stick to whatever y’r doin’ . i’ve got BUSINESS TO ATTEND TO . ❞
