eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

he spots that relief as easy as he would a gun in someone’s pocket. there’s a tell. the slight heaviness of their foot placement, a shift to have it settling right and here, with kate, it’s the way her shoulders drop and her tiny frame relaxes visibly. ❛ don’t. ❜ he begins with disappointment clouding his features and low tone : really, frank doesn’t need nor WANT kate thinking his help comes with strings attached. he isn’t a tit for tat guy : doesn’t need something in return to provide a service. ❛ you got my protection, katie . . . i don’t need nothin’ but your safety lil’ miss. so spill. let’s sort it out, yeah ? ❜ he shifts, boots hitting the concrete ground as large form is awkwardly shifted towards her now one arm resting upon the back of the bench they’re seated upon.
