angel tears.

eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

                  ^{once the claim of having a brother has been made, it should be expected that an  “ ohhhh “  would break out. seems like the  obvious  reason behind it, and one of the most  plausible. but he just had a bottom lip raise, a shrug        &&   head tilt. like it’s an  ‘ ok, fair enough ‘  type situation. her clarification that came afterwards helped him understand a little better, in ways that movies and shows  exaggerated.   (  or at least, he thought did. )         ❝     i’m an only child, i wouldn’t know.     ❞         shawn acts like that’s something to be proud of with how  smug  he looks.         ❝     i guess i missed out on the whole messing with  “my sibling’s stuf”  part of my childhood.     ❞} 

                  ^{shawn’s hands slip back into his pockets, whilst his hazel eyes blinked and squinted at her. a humored smirk plastered on his face because of her expression she shot his way.         ❝     seems like  fun.   but,  also sounds like a road to  paranoia,     ❞         he admits, a brow raising       but all the humor he found in their chat didn’t quite leave him. not yet.}

          a  casual  shrug ,  _{lift  &  fall  of  slender  shoulders  in  acknowledgement .  she  was  an  only  child  once ,  and  before  she  learned  to  appreciate  scott  that  time  was  held  dear  to  her .  oh ,  how  she  misses  her  brother  now !  blood  is  no  matter ,  he  is  her  brother  in  heart  and  soul .  remembering  the  look  on  his  face  when  she  left  him ,  the  heartbreak  in  his  eyes  when  she  told  him  everything  is  different  now  and  climbed  into  a  car  with  the  geckos .  it  was  for  his  own  good ,  she  keeps  telling  herself  —-  she  can’t  subject  him  to  seeing  her  break  again .  she  can’t  offer  the  support  and  steadiness  he  needs ,  not  when  she  has  her  own  trauma  to  learn  to  live  with .} 

           she  keeps  the  regret  off  her  features ,  _{expression  smooths  over  like  she  never  faltered  at  al .  ❝  it  wasn’t  so  bad .  he’s  a  good  guy .  a  good  brother .  don’t  see  him  much  anymore ,  but….  ❞  another  shrug ,  ❝  that  happens  when  y’  get  older .  y’ ….  grow  apart .  ❞}
