eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

_{gaze flits from the brandished weapon to the children who she’d die to protect.     a soft nod tells abel to listen ,   go to his room , and take his brother with him.     lock the damn door.    she knows he probably doesn’t understand ,   that he’s scared ,    and it seems like the world is ending.   and maybe her’s is.   abel takes his brother’s hand and together they teeter off towards one of the back rooms , and it’s then that gemma lifts herself to full height , hands brought up before her in surrender ,   ❛    okay ,    okay ,   alright.   just ,   think about what you’re doing.   ❜    mentally she runs through the list ,   wonders if clay or jax or any of the guys will get back in time.   she knows it’s in vain.    that if kate wants to hurt her ,   it’ll happen long before anyone has a chance to intervene.      carefully feet move ,    slowly one after the other out the clubhouse door until she’s standing in the parking lot ,   anger living in her glare ,   attitude dripping from her words ,     ❛     ——    and what now ?   what do you think this will solve  ? ❜}
