eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

he barely resists the urge to pull her closer. he barely resists that caveman urge to press his lips against hers in the savagery of the hot moment that would be shared between them. he looks down at her, appreciative of her care & tenderness. that’s his girl, always looking out for him.
‘ you know i’d buy you anythin’, kate. ’ he’s positive that if she asked him to buy her a horse then he would in a heartbeat ( not without complaining about it first though ! ) .
she takes her sweet time , fingertips running reverently over different fabrics and colors until she settles on one . she’s careful not to let him see it , wants it to be a surprise : of course , she has to make sure it fits , though , so she disappears into the fitting room . a silky red number , skinny straps do little to cover her shoulders . it fits well , she turns and looks at herself over her shoulder in the fitting room mirror to study the way it hugs her curves . nice . hopefully it’ll do the trick , y’know , she thinks she might actually have the perfect shoes to match . she’s back in her jeans and tank top in a flash , clutching the smooth fabric to her chest . ❝ found somethin —— but i want it t’ be a surprise . ‘kay ? ❞
