eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

SMASH, SMASH - BURST. Patience spun her head around to find Kate finding them a way out. She put her gun down and runs with Kate into the next room, there was another door and this time, Patience covered her face and shot at the lock, opening the door to embark outside. ‘ They can’t follow us out here, right?’
SHE VISIBLY FLINCHES when patience shoots the lock off the next door - a slight yelp of surprise may escape, but it’s ignored in favor of escaping into the hot texas sun. a breathless shake of her head, squinting up at the blue sky, ‘ no. they can’t do sunlight. ’ unless, of course, they’re real smart, like richie or carlos, & they get an outfit that literally covers them head to toe. (for some reason, she doubts these particular culebras are bright enough to have that offhand.) ‘ we’re safe. ’ for now.
