for someone who’d just been attacked by a creature that was supposed to be fictional, she seemed relatively calm. it took him back a bit as he wiped the blood from his eyebrow. he always seemed to forget that the people of los angeles knew more than they were letting on. he placed the stake within his leather coat & focused his attention on the young girl he’d just rescued from the brink of death. ❝ —- oh, my face, right – i’m fine, what about you? did you get hurt? ❞ he attempted to smell for blood other than his own. this was his life now, fighting evil & helping the helpless. he found that people were far more important than his own safety. that & he owed it to the powers that be, after everything he had done.
EYEBROWS FURROW SLIGHTLY, she takes a small step forward. ‘ you’re bleeding, ’ she points out, frown curving pink lips. of course, she would do the same thing if she was injured - brush it off like it was nothing and turn her attention to whoever she was with. but for now, though, she just shakes her head. ‘ i’m fine, don’t worry, ’ kate reassures, voice soft & placating - used to people wanting to protect her, all 5′2 ball of fire that is KATE FULLER. ‘ i’m tougher than i look. slender hand pulls open her jacket, small gesture to three stakes tucked into a pocket she sewed herself. tougher is right - you don’t LITERALLY walk through hell & survive being possessed by a xibalban queen without picking up a few things.
