eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

EVER GET THE FEELIN’ that someone was watching you? As if you feel eyes glued to the back of your head? That’s how Alice was feeling. It made her anxious as she rummages through her purse for her wallet after she ordered a green tea frappe. The smaller voice offered to pay for hers which Alice already felt bad. She steps aside and nods politely at the young girl. Alice fumbled words in her mouth before she spoke out, “Thanks, but you didn’t need to do that.” Arms fold across her chest, head points down to her feet as she swayed nervously, “I’m Alice, who are you?”
ALICE. REMINISCENT OF the storybook character, with the blonde hair and the blue eyes - it fits, it really does. the barista hands back the change from the hundred dollar bill, and it’s too much green and embarrasses her further. the twenties and fives are tucked back into the wallet, and she fumbles a little as she speaks. ‘ oh, i know. i just thought - ’ she manages to get it put away, slips the thing back into the cheap purse she bought in an open-air market in mexico. ‘ i’m kate. ’ an almost-shy smile is afforded to the other. ‘ nice t’ meet ya, alice. ’
