eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

willow.

Willow jumps as the girl acknowledges her, bleary eyes looking first at her and then quickly down at her research. She is all-too-aware of the unpleasant effect her work can have on others, so much so that it’s a bit of an insecurity — and it seems that the one time she forgot herself, someone was upset. She slams her folder closed, rubbing her eyes and offering a meek smile.

       ❛   I’m so sorry. I — um, it’s for work.   ❜

                       _{SHE’S NOT UPSET so much as she is dazed - she offers the other a vague smile, an attempt at reassurance. ‘ don’t be sorry, ’ she murmurs, though she’d be lying to say she wasn’t GLAD the photographs were put away. ‘ i should be the one apologizin - i was bein nosy. ’ head tilts a little, green gaze fixated on the other girl’s face. ‘ what do ya do ? ’}
