angel tears.

eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

         _{he glances over his shoulder at the girl before turning back to the trunk.  he remains silent, hesitating to hand over a weapon.  he buys some time by occupying himself with the duffel bag that he is meant to carry and storing in several equipment he knows he will need for the job.  he pulls the bag over his shoulder, but there’s one stake left remaining in his one hand.  gaze draws back at the girl and knits his brows together.       ‘   how old are you, again?  ’}

             _{SILENCE REIGNS FOR a beat too long. eyebrows furrow slightly, green eyes staying trained on the man. there’s a good chance he doesn’t believe she can actually be useful - or maybe he thinks he’d be sparing her to leave her behind. kate can’t blame him - she knows how she looks to someone who doesn’t know what she’s been through. lips purse slightly at his question, head shaking slightly. ‘ it’s rude t’ ask a lady her age, ’ she chastises, not without a touch of humor. a poor deflection, but eighteen years old doesn’t exactly scream i know what i’m doing. a hand reaches out, expecting & insistent, patiently waiting for him to put the weapon in her grasp.}
