THOUGH I WALK through the valley of the shadow of death, she thinks - and if that is not an accurate assessment of the situation, kate doesn’t know what is. it’s dangerous world they’re living in now, and the girl’s alone & holding her own by some grace of god despite topping five feet tall by only a few measly inches. the gun in her hand is heavy & clumsy - one she didn’t know her daddy owned until she opened up a drawer in the rv and there it sat. good thing she found it when she did, too, cause that very same day her daddy got teeth sunk into his arm and katie-cakes used that same gun to put a bullet between his eyes. hands shake when she points it, green eyes wide despite the way they squeeze shut when she pulls the trigger. ( she never was very good at aiming. ) it only clips the walker & kate shoots again, only for an empty chamber to click. oh god, oh god. she’s going to die. prayer spills out of it’s own accord. ‘ our father, hallowed be thy name. thy kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. ’ / @barbeddxddy

A s h o t is heard making the man smirk – followed by the loud hungered growling of the undead bastards (( they missed!...
