eve becomes SNAKE -- or snake becomes EVE. whichever way ROUND, she is FREER. hell follows her ‘round, hell called MAN, hell called ADAM, trying to make the CHANGING about him. adam demands of god why he is being PUNISHED like this. eve finds GRACE in the dark cracks between rocks. eve finds god in the SOLITUDE. eve finds ABSOLUTION in the red press of her knees / scales into the dirt. eve, UNBLINKING, watches adam rail. adam demands ANSWERS and eve / snake / eve exits the GARDEN to go and find them for HERSELF.

[★] SUBTLETY seems to be a trait that’s slowly wearing off ———— the Soldier wasn’t aware he was staring , lost in his own thoughts as he paused by the bus stop to check his phone. she looked ————– unnervingly familiar , though not an operative within HYDRA. was she merely a face that stood out from the crowd , someone he had seen upon a mission ? who was she ? Kate offered him her candy and Ren looked away. abrupt , awkward. he cleared his throat before speaking , hoping she could help clear his addled mind.
‘ uh —————— no. sorry. you just - you look familiar. ’
SHE WASN’T EXPECTING the man to look away so sharply, uncomfortably, like a child who’s been SCOLDED. eyebrows furrow just slightly & thin shoulders roll in a shrug - she takes a bite of the licorice herself, then…. - her father used to tell her she has a kind face. the type where sweet features prompt others to talk - or, at the very least, APPROACH. she never really noticed until she started to have to use it to get information. ( poor rafa flits across her mind for a split SECOND, but she doesn’t allow herself to dwell. ) either way, being recognized by someone she hasn’t met doesn’t quite sit well with kate - there’s a couple of reasons he could recognize her, & most of them mean trouble. ( note to self: SUNGLASSES don’t hide an identity as well as ya think ! ) ‘ my daddy used to tell me that i have one of those faces - the kind that people always feel like they’ve seen before, ’ she informs him, CASUAL & ignoring the ever-present spike of PAIN when she mentions her father. ‘ but you KINDA look familiar, too. what’s your name ? ’
